Terms, conditions, and operational policies for bDeliva delivery services
These Terms & Conditions apply to all delivery services provided by bDeliva through Bidhaa.
bDeliva provides parcel collection, transportation, sorting, and delivery services. bDeliva does not sell, package, or prepare the products being transported.
The sender is responsible for providing accurate parcel information, properly packaging the parcel, and ensuring that the parcel is ready for collection.
bDeliva reserves the right to refuse a delivery request or reject a parcel that does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
bDeliva operates during the following hours:
Delivery and collection times may vary depending on the selected delivery option, pickup location, parcel processing, and dispatch schedule.
bDeliva does not accept or transport the following items:
bDeliva reserves the right to refuse any parcel that falls within the above categories or any other item that bDeliva considers unsuitable or unsafe for transportation.
The sender is solely responsible for the contents, legality, ownership, and accuracy of the information provided for every parcel submitted for delivery through bDeliva.
bDeliva provides a transportation and delivery service and does not routinely open, unpack, or inspect the contents of sealed parcels submitted by customers. Acceptance of a parcel for transportation does not mean that bDeliva has inspected, verified, approved, or accepted responsibility for its contents.
The sender must not use bDelivas services to transport any prohibited, restricted, illegal, unauthorized, dangerous, or unlawful item.
If a parcel is found or identified by a competent government authority, law-enforcement agency, regulator, or other authorized body to contain a prohibited, restricted, illegal, unauthorized, or otherwise unlawful item, the sender shall be solely responsible for the contents and any resulting consequences, including any investigation, seizure, penalties, fines, claims, losses, or legal proceedings arising from the contents of the parcel.
Where bDeliva is required by law or by a lawful request, order, inspection, or directive from a competent authority to provide information, present a parcel, facilitate an inspection, or cooperate with an investigation, bDeliva may do so without prior notice to the sender or receiver where legally permitted or required.
bDeliva shall not be responsible for any prohibited, restricted, illegal, unauthorized, or unlawful item concealed or included in a parcel by the sender, provided that bDeliva did not knowingly participate in or authorize the unlawful activity.
The sender agrees to indemnify and hold bDeliva harmless, to the extent permitted by applicable law, against claims, losses, penalties, costs, damages, or liabilities arising from prohibited, restricted, illegal, unauthorized, or unlawful contents placed in a parcel by the sender.
bDeliva reserves the right to refuse, suspend, hold, return, or cancel the transportation of any parcel where there is a reasonable concern regarding its contents, safety, legality, or compliance with these Terms & Conditions or where required by a competent authority.
By submitting a parcel for delivery, the sender confirms that the parcel contains only lawful and permitted items and accepts full responsibility for its contents.
The person requesting the delivery is solely responsible for packaging the parcel.
The parcel must be properly packaged, securely sealed, and ready for safe transportation before the bDeliva pickup driver or agent receives it.
The sender must use appropriate packaging based on the nature, size, weight, and condition of the product. Where necessary, protective materials such as bubble wrap, cartons, protective foam, sealed bags, or other suitable materials should be used.
Products that may break, leak, spill, or become damaged during transportation must be adequately protected by the sender before collection.
bDeliva pickup drivers and agents are not responsible for opening, inspecting, wrapping, repackaging, sealing, or otherwise preparing parcels.
bDeliva shall not be responsible for damage, breakage, leakage, spillage, or loss resulting from inadequate, improper, or insufficient packaging by the sender.
By requesting a bDeliva delivery, the sender confirms that the parcel has been properly packaged, securely sealed, and prepared for transportation.
bDeliva reserves the right to refuse collection or delivery of any parcel that is not properly packaged or is considered unsafe to transport.
Before handing over the parcel to the bDeliva pickup driver or agent, the sender must provide the pickup code sent by SMS.
The driver or agent will enter the pickup code to authorize and confirm collection of the parcel.
Once the pickup code has been successfully verified, the sender will receive a pickup confirmation SMS.
The pickup driver or agent will write the pickup code on the parcel to distinguish it from other parcels being transported.
The sender should confirm that the code written on the parcel matches the pickup code received via SMS.
A parcel will not be collected unless the required pickup verification has been successfully completed.
bDeliva operates a bulk delivery system.
After collection, parcels are transported to the bDeliva sorting warehouse, where they are sorted and grouped according to their destinations and delivery schedules.
Parcels are then dispatched together with other parcels according to the applicable delivery schedule.
Because bDeliva operates a bulk delivery system, customers should not expect an immediate or on-demand dispatch immediately after collection.
Once a parcel has been dispatched for delivery, the receiver will receive a delivery code via SMS.
The receiver must provide the delivery code to the bDeliva driver or agent for identity and delivery verification.
Once the delivery code has been successfully verified, the bDeliva driver or agent will hand over the parcel to the receiver.
The delivery is considered completed once the parcel has been handed over following successful delivery-code verification.
bDeliva operates scheduled delivery rather than on-demand delivery.
Our main warehouse operates two dispatch/delivery shifts:
The actual delivery time depends on the parcels origin, destination, collection time, sorting, dispatch schedule, traffic, and other operational circumstances.
For parcels dropped at a bDeliva agent:
Delivery times are therefore estimated delivery windows and not guaranteed appointment times.
bDeliva does not currently provide on-demand delivery.
Where the parcel qualifies for same-day delivery based on its origin, collection time, destination, and available delivery schedule, bDeliva will make reasonable efforts to deliver it on the same day.
Packages delivered to a bDeliva agent will be held at the designated collection point for 3 days from the date the receiver receives the collection notification.
The receiver is responsible for collecting the parcel within this 3-day period.
If a receiver visits the designated agent and finds it temporarily closed, the receiver should contact bDeliva through the official communication channels and attempt collection again within the remaining collection period.
If an agent remains continuously closed for the entire 3-day collection period, bDeliva may arrange home delivery of the parcel, provided the receiver has notified bDeliva of the closure during the collection period.
After the 3-day collection period expires, an uncollected parcel will be returned to the bDeliva warehouse.
The sender will be notified by SMS that the parcel has been returned.
Customers and senders should not rely solely on SMS notifications and are encouraged to follow up with bDeliva regarding any uncollected or returned parcel.
Once a parcel has been returned to the warehouse, the sender will have 7 days to collect it.
A parcel that remains uncollected for more than 10 days from the date of dispatch will attract a storage fee of Tzs. 1,000 per day.
Any applicable storage fees must be paid in full before the parcel is released.
Any returned parcel that remains uncollected for 30 days may be disposed of by bDeliva without further notice.
bDeliva will not be held liable for parcels that remain uncollected after the applicable collection, return, and storage periods.
Any claim relating to the loss, damage, or other issue concerning a parcel during delivery must be reported to bDeliva within 10 days from the date the parcel was delivered.
For a missing parcel, the claim period begins from the date the parcel was expected to be delivered.
All claims and related communication must be submitted through the official WhatsApp floating button on bidhaa.net or the Contact page on bidhaa.net.
These are the official channels for reporting and following up on delivery claims.
Claims submitted after the applicable 10-day period may not be considered, and bDeliva shall not be liable for claims submitted after this period.
All claims must contain sufficient information and supporting evidence to enable bDeliva to investigate the matter. bDeliva may request additional information or documentation where necessary.
Where bDeliva accepts liability for a verified loss or damage claim, the maximum compensation payable for any single parcel shall not exceed Tzs. 50,000, regardless of the value of the contents of the parcel.
The sender acknowledges that bDelivas liability is limited to the terms and conditions set out in this Claim Policy.
All customer communication relating to bDeliva deliveries, including delivery questions, claims, agent issues, parcel issues, and other support requests, must be made through the official WhatsApp floating button on bidhaa.net or the Contact page on bidhaa.net.
Customers should use these official channels when communicating with bDeliva regarding their parcels.
